Board A Match Finals
The final day started with Board A Match finals for GV Dharma Reddy’s trophy with 23 qualified teams.
The Rangers team (Sri RC Chowdhary, R Gossain, BS Sastry and SVRamana Rao) won the trophy While Ramcharan Projects (MV Subba Rao, SRajagopala Rao, K Srinivas, GK Raju and MBV Subrahmanyam) stood second. Nest Inn from Chennai, Faria’ team, Navayuga and Koushik took places from 3rd to 6thpositions.
Pairs Finals
The Pairs finals was conducted in the afternoon with 26 qualified pairs participating for Master KV Krishna Murthy’s trophy which was presented by late Shri Purushottam Pittiwho was a bridge lover. Shri K Krishna Kumar and Dr K Srinivas won this trophy scoring 61.33%. Dr V Mohan Rao and Lalith Guptha stood second.
K DiwakarReddy/K Vijaya Kumar and T Devendranath/ G Somi Reddy all FMC members took third and fourth places respectively. Sri CV Rao/ V Ramesh Kumar, Ajay yadnik/ GECVidya Sagar, R Kannan/ N Niranjan and TA Prasad/ Dr JM Rao took places from 5th to 8th.
Prize Distribution function
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Sri M Ranga Reddy,Chiarman organising committee & Chairman HSC. Sri S Ramana Rao, Sri JPrithvi Raj Reddy, Sri T Seshnarain and Sri Srikishan Sharma
all Executive committee members of FMC were invited to the dias along with Sri A SubbaRaju, President APSBA and Sri G Somi Reddy, Secretary APSBA. SriKamalakar Rao has presented a trophy to Master Vijaya Shankar in appreciation of his participation in the tournament at a tender age. Sri LalithGuptha
who participated in the tournament appreciated the organisers for conducting the tournament in a grand manner. Sri K Suryanarayana proposed vote of thanks.

Report on Day2 (23rd Jan)
CV Rao’s team and Ramcharan Projects shared the FMC trophy in the team of four duplicate event.
At the end of swiss league Ramcharan projects MV Subba Rao, K Srinivas, S Rajagopala Rao, G Krishnam Raju and MBV Subramanyam topped among the qualifiers.
In quarter finals Ramcharan Projects beat Mohanrum by 71-40 IMPs. Second qualified CV Rao’s team (CV Rao, V Ramesh Kumar, MD Choudary, G Veerabadra Rao, K Suryanarayana and Y Nageswara Rao) beat Akshay B team by 12 IMPs after trailing by 16 IMPs in the first round.
3rd qualified Kousik’s team (A Subba Raju, Prakash Kejriwal, Dr A Narayana Rao, CD Kumar and PN Malhotra) beat Nest INN Chennai by 49-39 IMPs. 4th ranked JHIC lost to Akshay A team by 29-68 IMPs.
In semi finals Ramcharan Projects beat Akshay A in a thrilling match after trailing 20 IMPs in 1st session and gained 35 IMPs in 2nd session resulting a win with 15 IMPs.
In other semi finals CV Rao’s team beat Kousik’s team by 6 IMPs.
Report of day1
The Fateh Maidan Club Open Bridge Championship was inaugurated by Sri.Swaminathan, Chief Vigilance Commissioner and Former Chief Secretary, Government of AP in the presence of Sri N.R Kirubakar Moorthy ,President Bridge Federation of India, Sri.A.Subba Raju President AP State Bridge Association and Sri.T.Seshnarayan Member Executive Committee of Fateh Maidan Club. Sri T.Devendranath, Chairman Tournament Committee, Sri G.Somi Reddy, Secretary AP State Bridge Assn, Sri K.Nageswara Rao Hon Secretary Bridge & Convener and Sri MBV Subrahmanyam, Chief Tournament Director were present.
Sri N.R.Kirubakar Moorthy, President BFI while speaking on the occasion has stressed the need to maintain discipline while playing the Tournament and maintain standards on par with international Events.
35 Teams entered the duplicate event including teams from Goa, Chennai, and Bihar.
At the end of 6th Round Ramcharan Projects with 114 VPs , Akshay A with 112 VPs, CV Rao’s with 109VPs and Dr.Kranthi with 110 VPs are in the lead. Further one more round is to be played tomorrow for selecting 8 teams for final play off.
