W B F PRESIDENT OPENS HIS MIND
(1) Many of the wealthy players who sponsor teams and the individual bridge professionals do little - if anything- to sponsor the game.
(2) Many National Bridge Organisations focus too heavily on top 10% of players and don’t understand their role to market & promote at all levels and provide programs to ensure the continuity of the game and that some collective effort by many of these bridge sponsors could raise the profile of this game beyond its current low level.

All should appreciate the broadmindedness & generosity of ERIC Rodwell for having mentioned about author of an invention. He says> "Curiously one convention that I am often credited with having invented which I did not - UMJOODO (Unusual Major Jumps over one Diamond opening) - where a Two Heart response over one Diamond shows a non invitational hand with five Spades and four Hearts. That was invented by an Indian player, Raghavan, and named by Rony Adalaman. I added a Two Spade response to show the same hand - type with invitational values".
